Hi, my name is Derek Potts and I'm a third generation dentist. I like to joke that I was "born to be a dentist" because it was my path ever since I can remember. After high school, I went to La Sierra University where I received my BS in Biology. During that time, I spent a semester in Australia studying abroad. That was one of the best experiences of my life and I highly recommend it to all young people. After college, I spent a month in Cambodia doing field research with one of my Biology professors and his son. After that summer, I went immediately to Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. During that time, I had the honor of providing desperately needed dental care in Peru and Brazil. Those trips were incredible opportunities for me to help the needy and get valuable experience in emergency care. I've been working here at Potts Dental since 2011 and I love it. I enjoy working with my family and our family of employee's. And I love getting to know patients and helping them achieve their goals. Whether you want to just 'fix what's broken' or have a total smile makeover, I'm here for whatever YOU want!
